Ski Boots
Both cross-country skiing fans and downhill ski lovers
will need to purchase ski boots before putting on their skis. Cross
country skiers need ski boots that allow them to lift up the rear of
their foot for propulsion. The front of the shoe is locked into a binding.
A different set of ski boots is required for downhill skiing. These
are more expensive. They are larger and extend up over the shin. They
lock into the ski in both the front and back.
Ski boots are the most important part of the ski package. If a skier's
feet are not locked into place correctly, then the entire experience
will be uncomfortable. For this reason it is best to go to a recommended
retail store unless the consumer knows exactly what size and model he
is looking for. In that case he can shop over the Internet.
